    Position Scope

     

    As an EDI/Oracle Programmer working within the AVC Infrastructure the main scope is to be responsible for collaborative development of new enhancements to our Oracle-based ERP system

     

    Essential Functions

     

    Responsible for troubleshooting and support for current production. Responsible for creating Oracle reports. Be involved with new enhancement discussions for best methods of practice. Responsible for creating and modifying DD files for label and document generation. Work closely with our business teams to protectively develop more streamline and automated procedures systematically. Be involved with the implementation of new clients and current clients in our systems. Willing to learn ACOM – an EDI & XML tool that allows us to communicate with clients and retailers.

    The desire and ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative environment is essential. The motivation and drive to acquire new technology skills is integral to the position.

     

    Education/Experience Requirements

     

    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience is required.
    • 3 years minimum experience with Oracle Forms/Reports, PL/SQL, and Oracle RDBMS.
    • Experience with debugging tools and techniques for identifying causes of problems
    • Experience with JavaScript, HTML, Java, XML
    • Practical knowledge of ERP systems and 3PL operations.
    • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL queries and database troubleshooting
    • Experience with EDI
    • Highly autonomous, possesses strong written and verbal communication skills, strong project management and time management skills.

     

    Working Environment

     

    Office environment. The Associate may be exposed to moving parts.  Safety glasses, ESD attire may be required in designated areas.

     

     

  • JOB TITLE: DESIGN TECHNICIAN

    Position Scope

     

    Develop designs for new vacuum forming products and associated tooling preparatory to production as well as expertise to improve existing products.  The Designer assures that products will meet customer quality standards and aids in the development of those standards when necessary. The Designer assures that products will be able to meet AVC standards of quality, cost and efficiency and is a key element in the overall service provided by AVC Corporation to its customers.

     

    Essential Functions

     

    1. Prepare preliminary designs for customer bid and quotation.

    2. Provide overall management of design/new product projects for AVC

    3. Provide final product and tooling design

    4. Work with customer representatives and internal  AVC departments to troubleshoot and improve existing products

    5. Assist in weekly AVC design meeting

    6. Communicate with Contract Packing to assess the performance of existing packages and initiate improvements

    7. Assure the integrity of the AVC design process, adherence to ISO requirements and design standards.8. Provide orderly engineering/design changes in conformance with standard AVC processes; assist the machine shop when necessary through clarification or modification of design

    9. Provide CAM/CAD/CADD/CAE programming of tooling

    10. Perform/Creates graphic designs as needed (Incorporate die lines in to artworks, create renderings designs, etc.)

    11. Be able to perform:

    • Images manipulation
    • Digital illustration
    • Web page scripting
    • Interface design
    • Layout & concept design

    Education/Experience Requirements

     

    • Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree in Industrial Technology, Mechanical Engineering or Design.
    • Minimum 5 years work experience in related capacity, 5 years in plastics environment preferred
    • Working knowledge of Vacuum forming operationso Proficiency in current computer-aided design softwareo Strong communication skills and ability to present complex design or data information to a non-engineering peers
    • Working understanding of basic industrial statistics o 2D and 3D CAD Design software knowledge.

  • JOB TITLE: PROGRAM MANAGER

    Position Scope

     

    PACKAGING   PROJECT MANAGER to act as the primary point of contact for Sales and Procurement for all Pack out and supply chain projects.  This is a hands-on position responsible for gathering all details for Pack out and Supply chain projects. Thrives on building effective business relationships and strong follow up skills.

     

    Essential Functions

     

    • Supplier development.  Develop effective relationships with suppliers, review their mold progress, conduct factory evaluations, attend customer meetings, and attend product start-ups
    • Supplier evaluation.  Send RFQ’s to selected suppliers based on material processing capabilities, machine platforms used, and cost.
    • Documentation review.  Ensure all documentation is approved and submitted prior to issuing PO’s Supplier evaluation.  Send RFQ’s to selected suppliers based on material processing capabilities, machine platforms used, and cost.

    • Maintain accurate records on each project to allow for tracking and summarizing of data.

    • Documentation review.  Ensure all tooling documentation is approved and submitted prior to issuing PO’s
    • Organize and facilitate meetings with the project team, driving clear goals and agendas, and timely follow-up on action items.
    • Provide leadership within the Project Management department; provide mentorship and develop capabilities of direct and indirect reports. Coordinate all stages of the Pack out/supply chain development processes; determine viability of new projects with Procurement, Operations, and Sales.
    • Technical review. Review technical drawings for accuracy and approve first article part.
    • Foster collaborative working relationships based on common vision, goals, and objectives.

    Education/Experience Requirements

     

    • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Packaging, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field
    • Minimum 3 – 5 years of Project Management experience
    • Minimum 3 years of management experience
    • Strong business acumen  Ability to successfully multi-task in a fast-paced environment
    • This position requires an individual who is self-directed and detail-oriented with an inquisitive nature and the desire to solve problems
    • Strong communication skills including effective negotiation skills
    • Strong MS Excel skills
    • Experience with project management tools and processes, and has the ability to manage critical situations  Proactive problem solving skills including techniques that identify and resolve root cause issues
    • A strong work ethic with a positive “can-do” attitude and one who takes pride in the quality of their work

  • JOB TITLE: RECEIVING / SHIPPING AND LOGISTICS CLERK

    Position Scope

     

    The purpose of the Receiving /Shipping and logistics clerk is to maintain an efficient flow of items coming in and going out from AVC Corp. facilities. Additionally he/she maintain a high level of organization in the plant by communicating with suppliers and customers to schedule receiving and shipments appointments.

     

    Essential Functions

     

    • Schedule receiving and shipment appointments.
    • Schedule receiving appointments with carriers.
    • Schedule transportation companies for pickup of finished goods.
    • Coordinate transfers of received materials to staging locations.
    • Oversees physical and systematic movements in to MRP system.
    • Coordinate movements (Physically and systematically) to production lines as needed.
    • Coordinate movements (Physically and systematically) to shipping lines.
    • Coordinate accuracy of generated documentation for our shipping lines.
    • Oversees MRP transactions of any shipping activity.
    • Responsible for any customer shipping related communication.
    • Responsible for any special documentation required for a shipment (i.e. commercial invoices, etc).

     

    Additional Responsibilities

     

    • Review the daily logistics and production schedules to determine what work force is needed and assign labor to the appropriate warehouse and production lines. The Shipping/logistics clerk will order temporary workers as needed for daily operational needs.
    • Follow any instructions or directions that Operations Manager/Facility manager may provide for special jobs. Report to management any plant conditions that are unsafe or any unusual problems with equipment.
    • Enforce the application of Safety and Quality policies and procedures in the workplace
    • Be able to work on our Oracle based MRP system.
    • Ability to interact with others and be a leader by example.
    • Knowledge of 3rd party logistics.
    • Able to manage customer routing guides.
    • Quality – Ensure that all GMP requirements are in conformance
    • Safety – Comply with the safety policy and rules.

     

    Education/Experience Requirements

     

    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience including warehouse/logistics management.
    • Ability to read technical instructions.
    • Knowledge of warehouse machinery/equipment (forklift, pallet jack, scissor lifts, etc.)
    • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
    • Ability to interact professionally and effectively with internal and external customers.

     

    Working Environment

     

    The Associate is regularly exposed to moving parts, and high temperatures.  Safety glasses, safety gloves, steel-toe safety shoes may be required in designated areas.
